CoroCoro told us that Program Advances will be returning in Shooting Star Rockman 3. In this game, a program advance will take three cards and merely form them into a stronger card that you can only otherwise obtain from the Meteor Server Folder as either Black Ace or Red Joker. The demo's folder gives you access to the following three advances:
Cannon + Cannon + Cannon = Impact Cannon
Sword + Wide Sword + Long Sword = Giant Axe
Mini Grenade + Mini Grenade + Mini Grenade = Big Grenade

Noise Modification Gear: Progress Stage (released on the day the game is released - November 13, 2008)

One card would have a function of Noise Card, White Card, and Rezon Card.
Noised Cards has five types: Spade, Heart, Club, Diamond, and Shooting Star Joker. They can also come with numbers. The amount of Noised Cards you can use will depend on the types and numbers. Noised Cards would affect Rockman or the Noise Changes.
When you use a white card, it would replace your favorites in this game with those four white cards you put in. The white cards would then be attached to the end of your folder and can't be changed (if you want change, you would need to download it from a Station in the game or use another white card of the Noise Modification Gear).
Last, the Rezon Cards. You could get them by downloading and it would be the only one you get. In this game brother band system has been replaced by Team System. On the customize screen in the game, you will see a table display for Rezon Cards, with the members of your team, including yourself, displayed on the left and all your upgrades displayed on the right. On the bottom left screenshot in the image above, you can see a shot of what a team customize page looks like with no other team members. The player has only the "Ultimate Wood Master" card equipped and only gets Wood Star +3 and First Kusamura Panel equipped. However, with two other members on his team, as seen with the bottom right screenshot, the player gets access to another "Ultimate Wood Master" card, granting him a total of Wood Star +6 and he has access to another card that grants him "FM Vulcan" as a charged shot and Normal Star +3. In other words, you get access to the Rezon Cards of all members of your team.
